Help preserve the past, build for the future
About the Historical Osgood Preservation Society (HOPS)
Make a Difference
For over 100 years, The Osgood has stood proudly at the corner of Center and Madison Avenues in Bay City, Michigan. In July of 2025, The Osgood was re-born under new ownership to bring new life into the century old building. HOPS was created to assist with financial support for efforts directly put into preservation and restoration of this historic landmark. Every dollar that HOPS receives, goes into cosmetic or structural improvements for the iconic building’s next 100 years. The Osgood is for the community and now the community can support The Osgood by donations that directly impact the continuous preservation efforts.
Be Part of the Solution
Proceeds from events and donations will be invested into specific and impactful projects that require authentic historical restoration. These projects may include:
Plaster repair as a result of roof damage in the grand Osgood Auditorium
Plaster repair in the main lobby entrance from water damage
Exterior masonry repairs
Refinishing original terrazzo flooring throughout the building
Exterior signage and property grounds
Theatre chair recovering
